The boundary of Uttarakhand starts from Roorkee, which is a Municipal Corporation of district Haridwar and Haridwar is the first religious place of Uttarakhand. Haridwar is the entry gate to Char Dham of Uttarakhand. Here you find many ancient temples, mountains, pilgrims, and Holy Ganga River. Haridwar is also famous for "Har Ki Paidi", where ardh-kumbh and kumbh mela organized in every six and twelve years.
In Haridwar district, there is a city called Rishikesh. It is only 24 km away from Haridwar. Here you find very famous Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Neelkanth temple, Swarg Ashram, many temples and many ghats of River Ganga. The range of mountains starts here and you find this range till Kedarnath.
Dehradun is the hi-tech or modern city of Uttarakhand. It is the capital of Uttarakhand. Here you find every kind of business, government offices, shopping malls, cinema halls and almost everything which you find in a modern city. Sahastradhara waterfall, robus caves, doon valley are some famous spots of Dehradun.
Masoorie is the crown of Dehradun. It is a hill station and famous all over the world. The famous spots are Library market, Kulri market, camel's back road etc.

This is the second Dham of Char Dham of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is the temple of Lord Shiva. you will see the beautiful Himalayas range from here and find a lake named "Gandhi Sarovar" where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were flown.
The holy river Ganga starts from Gaumukh. Gangotri is 19 km away from Gaumukh and 3rd Dham. Ganga river spreads widely from here. There are so many spots to walk here.
This is the 4th Dham of Char Dham of Uttarakhand. River Yamuna starts here. There are many kund of hot water in this place.
And Kausani, Almora, Joshimath, Kalsi, Ranikhet, pauri, Tehri Dam, Lensdown, Pindari Glacier also are the famous spots of Uttarakhand.
